Selena Gomez to co-lead and produce Hotel Transylvania 4

Hotel Transylvania 4, Adam Sandler, Hotel Transylvania

Selena Gomez is getting ready to sink her fangs into a new role when Sony Pictures Animation presents the fourth chapter of its Hotel Transylvania film series. In addition to reprising her role as Dracula's practical and effervescent daughter, Mavis, Gomez will also serve as an executive producer for the forthcoming sequel.

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 4 will be directed by Jennifer Klushka and Derek Drymon from a screenplay written by franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky, who will also executive produce, alongside Michelle Murdocca. Originally, Tartakovsky was slated to helm the fourth installment of his family-friendly franchise before Klushka and Drymon took over.

The Hotel Transylvania franchise has scared up over $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office to date, thanks to three films and a spin-off series. The franchise introduces audience members to Dracula (Adam Sandler), who operates a high-end resort away from the human world. Throughout the course of the series, Dracula, his friends, and members of his immediate family get up to all manner of spooky shenanigans, making for a monster mash that's fun for every boy and ghoul in the graveyard.

While many monsters have passed through the hallowed halls of Drac's hotel, Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade are considered to be among the franchise's main players. While the full cast for the sequel has yet to be confirmed, it's to be hoped that all of the aforementioned stars will return for Tartakovsky's next animated monster mash.

Plot details for the new film are scarce at this time, but we'll be sure to update you as soon as we know more.
