Now that’s how you build hype heading into the weekend. The return of Michael Keaton as Batman in the solo movie for The Flash was confirmed some time ago and now director Andy Muschietti is teasing us with a look at Keaton’s new Batsuit.
Muschietti took to his Instagram page and posted an image of the Batsuit and the little divot below the famous Batman symbol on his chest makes me think the suit will look similar to one Michael Keaton wore in Batman Returns. It also looks like Batman has seen a bit of battle because the image also sports some blood spurts on the classic symbol. You can check out Muschietti’s Instagram post below!
News of Keaton’s return was confirmed back in April as the solo Flash movie is expected to shatter space-time. The film is reportedly inspired by the fan-favorite “Flashpoint” comic book storyline that sees The Flash travel back in time to prevent his mother’s murder to only “inadvertently create another universe.” The movie will explore the idea of a “multiverse” existing with the DC Cinematic Universe which allows Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne to return. Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman will also be making an appearance.
Ezra Miller is once again playing the title character and the cast also includes Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdu, and Ron Livingston. Filming began in April 2021 at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, in England and hopefully, Muschietti and his crew tease us with some more images as filming continues on the highly anticipated solo movie.
