Since taking Sundance by storm earlier this year, there has been a great deal of interest in THE WITCH as horror fans look to jump on the bandwagon of something good. Rave reviews poured in from those who have had the chance to see it – incluing from our own Chris Bumbray – and A24 is going through a slow build in order to poke at our curiosity until the film finally arrives early next year.
Today, the studio rolled out a teaser one sheet introducing The Raven, who is said to be a messenger of the Devil. How that ties into the film? I have no idea, given I haven't seen it yet. But the mystery does have me wondering, and that's the name of the game with these early posters. After all, that's why it's called a teaser.
It's simple. It's elegant, and it has pondering how many other forms evil is going to be taking for this film, per the tagline. Now we wait.
THE WITCH lands in theaters on February 26, 2016.
