Third and final Hangover film might be different. Possibly

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

We all know THE HANGOVER PART III is going to happen- the first two films have simply made too much money for them not to try a third go. The response to the second might have been lukewarm but the boxoffice certainly wasn’t, and the producers know that everyone’s slammed it for being essentially a remake of the first film and won’t make the same mistake again.

At least, we hope so.

Bradley Cooper recently appeared on the BBC’s The Graham Norton Show and revealed a few tidbits, most noticably of the location.

Cooper: – what it’s going to be about?

Norton: Well, obviously it’s going to be about a hangover.

Cooper: I don’t know actually. I think that we adhered to the formula in the second one, for those who’ve seen it, and the third one, I think, which would close the whole trilogy… I think it’ll take place in Los Angeles and maybe not adhere to the structure, it might be different.

He also mentioned how they’re likely going to start shooting next September.

Director Todd Phillips has long talked about how he envisioned HANGOVER as a trilogy, so this would be the final installment. Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are set to return whenever it starts.

What do you think? Is a third film needed to wrap up this epic story? And would another hangover story be a bad (or necessary) thing?
