We all know Tobey Maguire as that goofy, nerdy photographer that likes to wear spandex and beat up on villains. Looks like Tobey is making an effort to squash that single-minded perception, by becoming a real live Hollywood producer!
The film is called GOOD PEOPLE and it deals with a couple in debt from several rounds of futile fertility treatments who think their problems are solved when they stumble upon money found in their deceased tenant’s apartment. Sounds to me like a bit of a black comedy, and perhaps just the role to lift Tobey out of The Republic of Typecast and back into the United States of Versatile. His Maguire Entertainment is producing the film but Tobey is also in talks to star. Let`s hope one of Hollywood`s former brightest stars can shine bright once again.
