New UK release & runtime for Doctor Strange announced; new poster arrives

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Are you guys ready to see some f@king magic? Better put those wands away, because this ain’t no HARRY POTTER!

Sorry, that was a little much. We are, however, getting quite close to the release of Marvel’s newest flick, DOCTOR STRANGE. With less than two months to go we will soon be getting a bevy of news coming out about the inter-dimensional superhero romp as stars go on the press release tour, and the secrecy veil is lifted. But don't worry, I will give you guys a little something to ease your STRANGE withdrawals.

According to a Twitter release from Marvel UK & Ireland, the official release date for DOCTOR STRANGE for our friends across the pond is October 25, up from the original date of October 28. This a little over a week before the North American November 4 date, which means the folks over there clearly posses luck we do not. Need proof, do ya? Fine.

As well, a link to the Australian theater chain Event Cinemas (via Screen Rant) has listed the runtime of the movie at 130 minutes. This is more in line with the leaner runtimes of some of Marvel’s earlier flicks, and will act as a sigh of relief for anyone seeking reprieve from the GONE WITH THE WIND-style runtimes of recent superhero movies, which usually get close to, if not exceed, 150 minutes.

Well, I guess that’s the end of this stor—wait, what’s that? I’m getting word from my lamp that there’s more STRANGE news. Yes it appears a new poster has come out, featuring a slightly tilted Benedict Cumberbatch with some locations from around the world in the backdrop, also on a bit of a slant.

Take a look!

Don’t you feel satisfied with all this goodness, STRANGE fans? I know I do.

DOCTOR STRANGE enters our dimension on November 4 starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelson and Benedict Wong.
