I’m one of those people who saw THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK before I saw PITCH BLACK, and enjoyed them both for different reasons. Which means I’m rather excited by Vin Diesel’s next Riddick-related project (tentatively titled RIDDICK), as from what I understand it is meant to combine the best bits of both movies. Add to this the fact that 1) the movie is being filmed right now and 2) the movie is very much a passion project for Diesel, and I think it’s safe to say that I’m pretty damn interested. So now I bring you a new behind the scenes photo, fresh from Vin Diesel’s fan-loving Facebook page (with a wee bit of introduction by Riddick himself).

The vague-ish plot synopsis for Riddick’s R-rated adventure reads something like this: “Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.”
The main question now is “when will the movie be released,” and the answer is “no bloody idea.”
