The internet exploded a couple of weeks ago when news broke that Marvel had requested a meeting with Vin Diesel. Nothing else was revealed so of course we were left to endlessly speculate about what the meeting was about. What character would Marvel be interested in having Vin Diesel play? Would he play a hero or a villain? Will they use his intimidating physique to their advantage or had Marvel finally found someone to voice Rocket Raccoon?

Well we can tell you that Vin Diesel did meet with Marvel yesterday and it sounds like the actor was impressed with what they had to say. On his Facebook page the actor posted this image of himself as well as a little note about the meeting.

Vin Diesel

Marvel meeting today…
Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed…
P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen… you know I get tunnel vision with my work… and after that meeting today… wow!

Now just because there's a picture of an Avengers comic behind Diesel doesn't mean he's going to be in THE AVENGERS 2 but Vin Diesel does like to connect with and reward his fans so maybe it's a tease by him but really I'm just speculating here. Comic-Con is a week away so perhaps there will be some sort of big reveal. Maybe it's for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY or one of Marvel's unannounced films that are set to be released between 2016 and 2017, but either way there's a lot of people excited to see what Marvel has in store for Vin Diesel, if he does join their cinematic universe.

You can check out Vin Diesel in RIDDICK on September 6th, 2013 and the next chapter in Marvel's Phase Two films is THOR: THE DARK WORLD, which is out November 8th, 2013.
