WB’s Comic Con presence includes Hobbit and Mad Max but no Batman v Superman

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

As the San Diego Comic Con quickly approaches, various studios have begun to unveil what their panels and presentations will consist of leading many to hope for a glimpse of news and possibly footage from AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, and STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. Warner Bros. has just revealed their line-up for the convention and there is a title noticeably absent. The following was posted to Twitter today.

The link reveals that director George Miller will be on site to discuss MAD MAX: FURY ROAD and Peter Jackson will unveil news about THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF FIVE ARMIES. Even The Wachowskis’ delayed JUPITER ASCENDING will premiere new footage from the film and will feature some stars, possibly Channing Tatum or Sean Bean. But, what is nowhere to be found is representation of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE.

You may think it will be a surprise reveal, which is possible, but the press release for Warner Bros SDCC panels go into clear references of Batman’s 75th anniversary celebration this year which would make an ideal place to premiere new details about Zack Snyder‘s mega-sequel to MAN OF STEEL. Hopefully, this is all part of the plan, but for now those going to SDCC should not expect any news about the film.

And remember, as we have for the past 15 years, JoBlo.com will cover the SDCC to bring you the best and most in depth movie coverage. If something breaks, we will bring it to you Schmoes right away!
