Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories premieres exclusively on Shudder!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Neil Gaiman (hell, I wrote an entire column about how much I loved SANDMAN). I've also enjoyed AMERICAN GODS – as well as the TV adaptation – not to mention GOOD OMENS, MARVEL 1602, and many, many others. Thing is, what makes Gaiman great is he has a dark, dry wit, his knack for intriguing and flawed characters, and his genuine love of storytelling that comes off the page.

So it's no surprise that I'm excited for the upcoming anthology series written by Gaiman called LIKELY STORIES that's going to premiere on the horror streaming service Shudder. Here's the official synopsis:

Adapted from Gaiman’s dark tales, this collection of distinct, odd and brilliant short stories is both cinematic and strange. In each film, each character is compelled to share their story and we’re drawn into their very act of telling tall tales. While each episode has its own lead character, they are backed by an ensemble cast that play across all four bold and original films.

Sounds good to me! And judging by that trailer, we're in for something special!

Meanwhile, LIKELY STORIES will begin streaming on Shudder August 31st.
