Netflix unleashes a new banner for The Punisher ahead of release

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Ahead of the release of Marvel's THE PUNISHER on Netflix, the house that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby built have taken to the show's official Twitter account to share a grim, new banner for the upcoming comic book action series starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle aka The Punisher.

You can see the banner in all of its somber, black glory below:

If you're like me, you're getting a little sick and tired of not yet having an official release date for Marvel's new series. While I'm sure that an announcement regarding the start date is just around the corner, that's also something I wrote several weeks ago, too. Originally, Marvel was eyeing a mid-October start date for THE PUNISHER, but after the tragic events of the Las Vegas massacre, the studio decided to push the ultra-violent series back for a "late fall" release. Given the fact that Bernthal has said that the new series will "get into as dark and brutal a place as you've ever seen in the Marvel world," I can understand why Marvel chose to make the switch.

In the show, we'll witness the story of how Frank Castle becomes a one-man-killing-machine after the brutal deaths of his wife and child. Starring in the series alongside Bernthal will be actors Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, David Lieberman, Daniel Webber, Jason R. Moore and DAREDEVIL co-star Deborah Ann Woll.

At least we know when THOR: RAGNAROK and STRANGER THINGS Season 2 are set to premiere, right? That's bound to hold at least a few of us over until Marvel's THE PUNISHER arrives to rain blows down on the MCEU with plenty of firepower and inner demons to exorcise.
