New image of Storm Shadow from G.I. Joe: Retaliation sneaks online

Storm Shadow is one of the key ingredients of the GI Joe mythos and is one of the few holdovers from the first film, G.I. JOE: RISE OF COBRA.  Now, for the vastly different looking sequel, G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, Storm Shadow looks to be playing an integral role as Snake-Eyes main antagonist once again,  And, rightfully so. Historically speaking, in both the comics and cartoon series’, the two have always been connected.  I’m particularly happy to see director John Chu continuing their conflict and it looks like they’ll be tapping into their origins within the Arashikage clan, which for fans is a big deal.

Here’s the pic:

I’ve said it before, but I’m pretty excited to see G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, which isn’t something I would’ve said when this was initially announced.  However, the footage and story direction that director John Chu has laid out before us is impressive and, dare I say, hopeful.  I’ll definitely be giving this a shot in theaters.  The last time it felt like it was my duty as a fan.  Now, I’m happy to go.
