We finally got what we’d all been craving for too long last week – the first footage for KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE. To celebrate such a massive treat Matthew Vaughn is here to share with you a featurette advertising one of the movies key features: bourbon. Statesman from Old Forester was inspired by the movie’s Statesman agents (Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges and more), who have their headquarters in a distillery and get their code names from various alcoholic beverages. The love of drink plays a big role in the movie, if not just because drinking while watching it will make it even more fun.
Needless to say I will be trying said liquor, and dreaming of a world of colorful espionage while I do so. Alcohol is a unique way of marketing the movie, but makes perfect sense given the where the movie will take our loveable Kingsman agents, including Eggsy (Taron Egerton), Merlin (Mark Strong), Roxy (Sophie Cookson) and Harry (Colin Firth). I mean, I would prefer a laser whip be made available for purchase, but at least I can drink away my sadness over is nonexistence.
