A new featurette for Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS has landed online and has a shit-ton of awesome behind-the-scenes footage, none of which will spoil the movie for you.  I don’t know, maybe it’s just because we’re all so pumped to see it that anything is great, but this is really cool.  Just to see and hear Ridley Scott directing is a sight to behold.  The man’s been directing for close to 50 years now, so one can imagine how much insight he has into the craft.

What I think is truly great about this featurette is seeing how much Ridley shoots practically, which he’s traditionally done.  To me, Ridley Scott is the only filmmaker to blend reality with effects in a seamless way.  It is a rare thing to spot what’s real and what isn’t in his films.

Okay, enough hero worship.  Get on with the featurette:

PROMETHEUS opens on June 8, 2012.
