The new trailer for Tom Cruise's EDGE OF TOMORROW has arrived and has all the trimmings of a great sci-fi action yarn. Directed by Doug Liman and co-starring Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, and Jeremy Piven, the GROUNDHOG DAY-in-the-future flick has action, explosions, robotic suits, formidable baddies, and lots of Blunt looking both hot and badass, making this a must see for the summer movie season.

Take a look:

Here's the synopsis:

A soldier fighting in a war with aliens finds himself caught in a time loop of his last day in the battle, though he becomes better skilled along the way.

Just to reiterate my sentiments from yesterday, Cruise is a safe bet for me. He's constantly providing, if nothing else, a fun thrill ride with top tier talent and puts all his energy and passion into whatever project he has on the horizon. Blunt, as well, is a great partner for this, well deserving of a breakout role in a big summer movie and I hope this does that for her. For all those reasons and more, my ass will be in the theater for this one.

EDGE OF TOMORROW, starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Jeremy Piven, Lara Pulver, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Kick Gurry, and Madeleine Mantock hits theaters on June 6, 2014.
