Ninja III: The Domination

DIRECTOR: Sam Firstenberg          CAST: Sho Kosugi, Lucinda Dickey, Jordan Bennett

Now that Awfully Good Movies has made it intact into the new year of 2021, let us begin on a high note by turning our focus once again towards the B-movie titan of the 80s that was Cannon Films, as they concluded their "Ninja Trilogy" with 1984's martial arts horror mashup Ninja III: The Domination! With Enter the Ninja and Revenge of the Ninja raking in some solid cash for Golan and Globus–as well as introducing the term "ninja" into the pop culture lexicon–they decided to cash in all their chips on their latest vehicle for martial artist leading man Sho Kosugi, who here plays a Japanese ninja on the hunt for the "Black Ninja" that killed his clan and took out his eye, only to find his enemy killed by cops in a blizzard of bullets and his vengeful spirit now possessing the body of that girl from the Breakin' movies. And with the ninja's ghost using the body of this innocent aerobics instructor/telephone repairwoman to kill the cops who killed him, you can bet things are gonna get as crazy as a Cannon film can get: demonic arcade machines, exorcisms conducted by Lo Pan from Big Trouble in Little China, and sensual usage of V-8 vegetable juice. If your 1984 fetish hasn't been satisfied enough with Wonder Woman 1984 or the new season of Cobra Kai, then Ninja 3 has got the sexy strong ladies and martial arts action to dominate your bad movie night.
