Possession (1981) Revisited – Horror Movie Review

A new episode of our Best Foreign Horror Movies video series has just been released, and this time around we’re digging into a very interesting mind-boggler, the 1981 French / German production Possession (get it HERE). To hear what we had to say about Possession, check out the video embedded above!

Shot in Berlin long before the wall fell, Possession was directed by Andrzej Zulawski from a script he wrote with Frederic Tuten. The story they crafted together has the following synopsis:

A woman starts exhibiting increasingly disturbing behavior after asking her husband for a divorce. Suspicions of infidelity soon give way to something much more sinister.

The film stars Isabelle Adjani, Sam Neill, Margit Carstensen, and Heinz Bennent.

The Best Foreign Horror Movies series is

dedicated to highlighting horror films from outside North America that carry lots of punch, bite, scares and/or stabs! Hop on and enjoy the horror ride around the world.

The Possession episode of the show was Written and Narrated by Andrew Hatfield, Edited by Gonzalo Lopez, Produced by John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
