Robert Pattinson’s 2026
It seems as if Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jon Bernthal are all having a great year. The latter three are having great success in the back-to-back summer hits — The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, Pattinson is getting a massive year himself, starring in The Drama with Zendaya, The Odyssey, also with Zendaya and Dune: Part Three, which will also have Zendaya. Pattinson is finding himself working to change regimes in both The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three.
However, in between his two big releases, Pattinson will also be playing Chris Hansen in Primetime this fall. A24 has just released a new poster for the film just ahead of the new trailer premiere tomorrow. Check out the poster below.
Welcome to Primetime
The details around the film has been kept under wraps and the only thing known during its development was that it was a crime drama inspired by the Dateline NBC show To Catch a Predator. The trailer shows various images broadcast on multiple CRT television screens with Pattinson narrating with some heavily dramatic questions. Then, he introduces himself as Chris Hanson of Dateline NBC.
The official synopsis of Primetime reads, “In 2006, To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history.” The film stars Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Maher and Sean Bridgers. Lance Oppenheim, who recently helmed the HBO documentary series, Ren Faire, developed the film with Pattinson to be his debut narrative feature film. Ajon Singh writes the screenplay. Singh is also tapped to write Lord and Miller’s Spider-Punk with Daniel Kaluuya co-writing and starring.
Pattinson also produces the film along with Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, Brighton McCloskey, Tyler Campellone, Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Oppenheim and Singh will also executive produce the film with William Iannaccone and A.J. Bourscheid for Range and Emily Hildner for Square Peg.
Oppenheim has worked with acclaimed filmmakers like Darren Aronofsky, who produced his documentary Some Kind of Heaven. He has also worked alongside Josh and Benny Safdie, both of whom backed Ren Faire. The director credited growing up in Florida as being an “insane place,” which inspired his documentary filmmaking.
