Prom script sucks?

I’m actually not really surprised at this. I
hadn’t had much hope when I heard that they were redoing one of the really cool
early 80’s slasher’s
PROM NIGHT
, but from what I’m hearing about
this script, this is going to BOMB!

Mike Sampson, writer for our sister site JoBlo,
got his hands on the script for the latest remake and from what he says about
it, no one’s going to be lining up anytime soon to see this piece of tripe.

The script was written by Stephen Susco and
revised by JS Cardone. And for whatever reason, neither one of them could do it
right. Sampson is a huge fan of the original

PROM NIGHT
, so at first it may seem like the review is somewhat
biased, but after he leaks a few details about the film, his observations seem
definitely viable.

The movie has been toned down to a goofy PG-13
teeny bopper flick, and apparently the killings were so unoriginal and boring
that Sampson thought there must surely be a twist at the end. But alas, there
were none.

To fully appreciate how bad this film may
become, check out Sampson’s full script review

thoughts on what may become yet another Hollywood s**t fest.
