This movie looks like it will be good but the voice over kills it.

Don’t let that deter you from watching it though. A.C.O.D. (Adult Children of Divorce) has a great casting consisting of Adam Scott, Amy Poehler, Jane Lynch, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jessica Alba (yeah), Clark Duke, Catherine O’Hara, and Richard Jenkins. Is that list of names worth your time? It should be.

The story focuses on Scott as Carter “a seemingly well-adjusted Adult Child of Divorce. Having survived the madness of his parents’ divorce, Carter now has a successful career and supportive girlfriend. But when his younger brother gets engaged, Carter is forced to reunite his bitterly divorced parents and their new spouses for the wedding, causing the chaos of his childhood to return including his wacky therapist.

It’s funny that Poehler is playing Scott’s new step-mom in the flick because on PARKS AND RECREATION they play as a couple. Also, I know this might be an easy choice for some of you but if I had Mary Elizabeth Winstead there’s no way I’d give her up for Jessica Alba. However, I am glad to see that Alba is getting better roles.

Check out the trailer below. A.C.O.D. hits theaters on October 4, 2013.
