Revenge Monsters! Pumpkinhead, Frankenstein, Creepshow (Scary Studies)!

It's time for a new episode of our SCARY STUDIES video series! The new episode is embedded above, and in this one writer/narrator Cody Meirick is digging into the horror genre's history of REVENGE MONSTERS.

In case this is your first time coming across a SCARY STUDIES episode, this show is

written and narrated by Cody Meirick, director of the documentary about Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and aims to delve into the stories, the films, and the meanings behind the scary stories we tell ourselves.

Here's the synopsis for the new episode:

The concept of creating or summoning a monster for revenge has a long, storied history. Bringing Frankenstein back to life or conjuring a Golem monster are just the beginning of the stories that use such devices. We look at Harold (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark), Creepshow, Tales from the Darkside, and Pumpkinhead to unravel such revenge monsters.

SCARY STUDIES is one of the several cool shows we have on our JoBlo Horror Videos YouTube channel. Take a look at some of the previous episodes below, then head over to YouTube to see more!
