George Romero, the man responsible for some of
the greatest zombie footage ever put on screen has sat down with the site Twitch
Guru and has said some very interesting, yet bitter things.
If you click
here (Which I highly suggest) you can read the
interview Romero did, and I don’t know why but he’s incredibly cynical towards
quite a few issues.
Now the interview is four pages long, and in all
seriousness it’s like 3 pages of Romero complaining. It’s weird because I’ve
never read an interview with him where he’s spoken like this before.
An example is the following statement he made
when asked about new directors in Hollywood. Romero said
“Who’s going to remember “Saw III” in 20 years? Forget about it. Here’s the
thing, man: I think that most filmmakers today, they shot music videos. They
shot Faith Hill’s last music video, and they think they’re hot shit. Do they
know how to handle it? No, they don’t. Put ’em at an editing table, and they’re
clueless.” Wow. Now is it just me or does that seem a little harsh.
This interview is incredibly interesting and I
really think people should read it. Romero touches on everything from CGI
effects, video games, and even to the political messages that NOTLD
subconsciously contained. So to take a look at what else he had to say, click
