Rumor: New DC animated film will be an adaptation of Gotham by Gaslight!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

BATMAN & HARLEY QUINN is on its way to DVD/Blu-Ray, and it seems a leaked photo of the DVD cover has given away what the new movie DC is going to adapt to an animated feature. Not only that, but it seems the upcoming film is going to be none other than Mike Mignola's (HELLBOY) steampunk Elseworld's tale GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT, where an 1800s Batman hunts down Jack the Ripper. You can check the cover out below:

There you can clearly see "A Sneak Peak of DC Universe's Next Animated Movie" in the special features section. Now, of course, take this all with a grain of salt for now, as this could easily have been Photoshopped. Although, so far it seems legit. This also isn't the first time something like this has happened, as THE KILLING JOKE DVD cover revealed the existence of the then upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK. Either way, we'll keep you updated.

Obviously, since we're not even sure this movie officially exists, there's no official release date. However, we should find out more information soon.
