Pulp author Robert E. Howard has another adventurer coming to life, and while he may not be as well-known as his creation CONAN, that could change if the buzz that SOLOMON KANE is surfing becomes a tsunami.
If you’re not too familiar with Howard’s classic leather-bound evil-fighter (whose style was “borrowed” by VAN HELSING), MTV has a “first look” clip that serves as a nice introduction to the character and his world.
Kane is played by James Purefoy (the pre-Weaving V from V FOR VENDETTA) and is joined in the flick by Max Von Sydow (FLASH GORDON), Pete Postlethwaite (THE USUAL SUSPECTS), Borg Queen Alice Krige, MacKenzie Crook (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) and Rachel Hurd-Wood. Check the clip below.
