Did you really think that Quentin Tarantino was going to make a move about freed slaves and NOT have Samuel L. Jackson cast in one of the roles?

Well the inevitable has happened as Jackson has joined the cast of the film as Stephen, a house slave and right hand of a nasty slavemaster. I also didn’t realize that DiCaprio had officially signed on for the villain role, but it appears that’s the case, and also there’s Kevin Costner and Christoph Waltz on board with Jamie Foxx as the lead.

A separate report says that Deadwood actor Gerald McRaney has joined the film in some capacity, but nothing is known about his role yet.

This is absolutely shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films next year, and I doubt we’re done seeing cast members added to it yet. Jackson involved with more than just a cameo role is amazing, and I can’t wait to see him kick some ass onscreen.
