Second trailer for Guns Akimbo brings more Radcliffe-Weaving madness

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I am very excited for DEATHGASM director Jason Lei Howden's new film GUNS AKIMBO. I enjoyed DEATHGASM enough that I would watch anything Howden made next, but thankfully what he did make looks like it's going to be one of the coolest movies of the year. Just a couple days ago, we got a look at a trailer (embedded above) that promises GUNS AKIMBO is going to have all the gleeful, batshit insanity you would hope for from a movie about Daniel Radcliffe getting guns bolted to his hands and then hunted by Samara Weaving of THE BABYSITTERMAYHEM, and READY OR NOT.

Now a second trailer has already arrived online. It's embedded below, and features a bunch of footage not included in the first trailer, giving us more glimpses at the film's action, comedy, and madness.

Here's the official synopsis:

Miles’ (Daniel Radcliffe) nerdy existence as a video game developer takes a dramatic turn when he inadvertently gets caught up as the next contestant with SKIZM, an underground gang live-streaming real-life death matches.  While Miles excels at running away from everything, that won’t help him outlast Nix (Samara Weaving), a killer at the top of her game.

Radcliffe and Weaving are joined in the cast by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ned Dennehy, and Rhys Darby. The film was produced by Joe Neurauter, Felipe Marino, and Tom Hern.

Saban Films will be releasing GUNS AKIMBO into select theatres on February 28th. It will also be available on VOD and Digital that same day. Our own Chris Bumbray has already seen the movie and gave it a 7/10 review.
