Here’s another piece from the horror genre, except this time it’s a tale for the big screen.

A new trailer for Rob Zombie‘s THE LORDS OF SALEM has hit and it offers much more plot. For those that were unconvinced from the teaser, this full-length look might give you some better insight. I’ve been a follower of Zombie’s for awhile, including his music career. I would not qualify as a massive fan in any sense, but I do have respect for the guy when it comes to his projects. A debate about the musician/director actually came about this weekend as we were discussing the quality of his films thus far. What’s hard to deny is Zombie’s passion for horror, whether you like the guy or not, he’s done his homework.

Do his study skills shine through in this trailer? I think so while I won’t know the final result until after seeing the film it does carry that B horror movie vibe. Reminds me of something that might have been successful in the late 70s and 80s. Take another peek at what the film has to offer and let us know what you think of it.

Synopsis: From the singular mind of horror maestro Rob Zombie comes a chilling plunge into a nightmare world where evil runs in the blood. The Lords of Salem tells the tale of Heidi (Sheri Moon Zombie), a radio station DJ living in Salem, Massachusetts, who receives a strange wooden box containing a record, a “gift from the Lords.” Heidi listens, and the bizarre sounds within the grooves immediately trigger flashbacks of the town’s violent past. Is Heidi going mad, or are the “Lords of Salem” returning for revenge on modern-day Salem?

THE LORDS OF SALEM starring Sheri Moon Zombie, Judy Geerson, Bruce Davison, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Ken Foree, Patricia Quinn, and Dee Wallace will creep you out on April 19, 2013.
