Space Jam: A New Legacy teaser announces Saturday trailer debut

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Ladies and Gentlemen, and Tunes of all ages, welcome to today's "pre-game" warm-up ahead of this Saturday's debut of the global trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy.

We've been lied to, my friends. How, do you ask? For the past few days, we were under the impression that today was the day that the full trailer for the new Space Jam movie would hit the court, but then, Warner Bros. went ahead and pulled an April Fools on us all.

That's right, folks. Today's promotional material is merely a teaser for the main event to come. The teaser features the Looney Tunes equivalent of Tom and Jerry, Wile E. Coyote, and Road Runner, with both characters being up to their usual shenanigans. It's a classic bait and switch, and I fell for it. Hook, line, and sinker. Bugs Bunny would be proud.

In Space Jam: A New Legacy, basketball champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny. When James and his young son Dom – who dreams of being a video game developer – are trapped in a digital space by a rogue AI, James must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny, and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the AI’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before.

Be sure to get your courtside seats for when the full trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy goes live this Saturday.
