It's the most wonderful time of the year!

No, not Christmas, but the annual purge, where everyday citizens are free to do whatever they want, including robbery, murder, rape, whatever! The sky's the limit! After last years breakout success THE PURGE, no time was wasted in getting a sequel ready, following the same concept, but with a different set of characters and today we have a peek at a teaser for the newly-titled THE PURGE: ANARCHY. Story details are still under wraps, but it looks like we'll see some more street-level action this time out rather than being confined to a home invasion like the first film.

Take a look:

This sequel was whipped up pretty fast, with writer/director James DeMonaco back at the helm, and a whole new cast assembled, but that doesn't mean it can't be another success story. I'm not chomping at the bit for this, but with Frank Grillo and Michael K. Williams starring it certainly has my attention. The first film made $89 million at the global box office off of a $3 million budget. That's some serious bank and if they can duplicate that you can expect to see an annual "purge" of these flicks for years to come.

THE PURGE: ANARCHY hits theaters on June 20, 2014.
