The Boy Next Door trailer features Jennifer Lopez and some heavy breathing

JoBloJoBlo

In case you were tired of director Rob Cohen delivering sub-par action flicks (STEALTH, THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR), he's giving us a thriller with everyone's worst nightmare: having a one-night stand with a person who turns out to be batshit crazy. In this case, it would be Jennifer Lopez who robs the cradle with a fellow student, and now a trailer has hit to show us what she's in for.

They synopsis goes a little something like this:

Jennifer Lopez leads the cast in The Boy Next Door, a psychological thriller that explores a forbidden attraction that goes much too far. Directed by Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious) and written by Barbara Curry, the film also stars Ryan Guzman, John Corbett and Kristin Chenoweth.

In the real world, J-Lo would be fired and serve some jail time if the titular boy was underage. However, given all the weapons shown in the trailer, something tells me Rob Cohen is going to go a different way with this one. To be fair, the boy DID come up with some pretty hilarious puns in front of the pseudo-husband. "Well, it got pretty wet here." Can audiences resist wordplay that wondrous? Probably.

THE BOY NEXT DOOR will be released on January 23, 2015.

If Iggy Azalea played the boy next door we'd have an entirely different movie on our hands.
