The new Red Band trailer for Shaft is a bad mother (shut your mouth)

Who's the black private dick that's a sex machine to all the chicks? (Shaft)

You're damn right!

New Line Cinema has let a mean Red Band trailer for SHAFT out onto the streets, which comes complete with expletives galore, courtesy of the man, the myth, Samuel L. Jackson. Oh, but the narrator of author Adam Mansbach's Go the Fuck to Sleep isn't the only star getting in on the action. That's right, original SHAFT actor Richard Roundtree, Regina Hall, Alexandra Shipp, and Jessie T. Usher are also down to clown with a well placed "mother fucker," or one of your other favorite cusses to express bewilderment, surprise, or genuine excitement.

Directed by BARBERSHOP and FANTASTIC FOUR director Tim Story, from a script penned by Kenya Barris (BLACK-ISH, GIRLS TRIP) and Alex Barnow (THE GOLDBERGS, MR. SUNSHINE), the latest chapter in the life and times of John Shaft II sees three generations of no nonsense peacekeepers coming together to avenge a fallen friend's untimely death. Seperated by time, trends, and one-liners that baffle one another, all three members of the Shaft family will have to find common ground if they're to smoothly patrol the streets for years to come.

Here's the official plot synopsis for SHAFT:

“Shaft” is the next chapter in the film franchise featuring the coolest private eye on any New York City block. JJ, aka John Shaft Jr. (Usher), may be a cyber security expert with a degree from MIT, but to uncover the truth behind his best friend’s untimely death, he needs an education only his dad can provide. Absent throughout JJ’s youth, the legendary locked-and-loaded John Shaft (Jackson) agrees to help his progeny navigate Harlem’s heroin-infested underbelly. And while JJ’s own FBI analyst’s badge may clash with his dad’s trademark leather coat, there’s no denying family. Besides, Shaft’s got an agenda of his own, and a score to settle that’s professional and personal.

SHAFT is coming to theaters to put a hurt on the box office come June 14, 2019.
