The Walking Dead film coming in 2021?

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So, a The Walking Dead theatrical film focusing on Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes has been announced a while ago – with showrunner Scott Gimple at one point comparing it to Logan – although plans stalled due to the recent real life pandemic.

However, it seems that the film might nonetheless be coming out sooner rather than later, according to this tweet from Rosemary Rodriguez, who has helmed many episodes of The Walking Dead TV show, as she replies to the official Walking Dead Twitter account:

Obviously this isn't official by any means, but Lincoln also recently revealed he hopes the film will shoot this spring, so if things get a bit closer to normal within the next year, it's possible that it could be out towards the end of the year. Obviously we'll keep you updated.

So what do you guys think? Still any fans of The Walking Dead? If so, looking forward to the upcoming theatrical film? Either way, sound off below!
