The first teaser trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder was finally released just days ago and contained plenty of teases for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. The biggest moment was the re-introduction of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, but this time around, Jane also wields a re-formed Mjolnir as The Mighty Thor. The first poster for Thor: Love and Thunder featured Chris Hemsworth rocking some ’80s vibes while holding Stormbreaker above his head. Not to be outdone, Natalie Portman has dropped her own Thor: Love and Thunder poster on Instagram, tagging Hemsworth in the caption, “And you thought you were the one and only…“
Natalie Portman last played Jane Foster on the big screen in Thor: The Dark World back in 2013, but Foster did appear via archival footage in Avengers: Endgame and lent her voice for Marvel’s What If…? series on Disney+. Thor: Ragnarok director Taikia Waititi returned to helm Thor: Love and Thunder and also co-wrote the script alongside Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. In addition to Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, the upcoming sequel will also feature Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Jamie Alexander as Lady Sif, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Taika Waititi as Korg, and Russell Crowe as Zeus.
