Elmore Leonard is widely known for writing great crime stories that have paved the way for some solid cinema (OUT OF SIGHT, GET SHORTY, JACKIE BROWN). If you fear it's been too long since you've gotten your Leonard fix, you can put those fears to bed. LIFE OF CRIME, the latest film based on a novel of his (The Switch), will be out before you experience withdrawals.

The cast is really enough to get me through the theater door and it looks like they're having some fun with this one. I've pretty much had a man-crush on John Hawkes ever since his stint in Deadwood. Then, there's the Isla Fisher factor. If she were any cuter, my heart would explode in 1,000 tiny unicorns and rainbow their way out of my corpse. And Tim Robbins?!? I'm pretty sure that guy was born for tongue-in-cheek humor.

LIFE OF CRIME, starring Tim Robbins, Jennifer Aniston, Isla Fisher, John Hawkes, Mos Def, Mark Junior, and Will Forte, hits theaters August 29, 2014.

Now if production would start on Life of Isla Fisher, that would be great.
