In a little over two months the live-action TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES will hit the big screen for the first time in over 20 years. We have seen a trailer and some new action figures that still leave something to the imagination. If you don't feel we have seen enough of some of these characters, namely Splinter and Shredder, to make a sound decision on whether we accept them or not we might have something to help.

Idle Hands has posted images from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Visual History," which shows concept art for the new big screen versions of Shredder and Master Splinter.

Check them out:

I'm digging the look of Shredder; and in the great words of Michelangelo "I bet it never has to look for a can-opener". Splinter looks great, but if you remember from the few seconds we have seen him in the trailer, I don’t think he ended up this tall.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Johnny Knoxville, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Tony Shalhoub, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Whoopi Goldberg. It hits theaters on August 8th, 2014.

What do you guys think of the concepts?
