Trailer for Supernatural’s final episodes teases the saga’s emotional end

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The CW today summoned a new trailer for SUPERNATURAL that teases the final episodes of the long-running series. Previously, it was reported that the final season would include a flashback episode and today's footage confirms that yes, the young Winchester siblings are ready to return. It's a moment that many fans have been waiting for, even though it signals the end of the Winchesters' epic journey.

Back in January, co-showrunner Andrew Dabb spoke with Entertainment Weekly about bringing the young Winchesters back for one last hoorah, saying, "For a long time, pretty much every season we would do a story that would flash back to a young Sam and Dean story. So this year we’re doing one of those, which we haven’t done for a long, long time."

Supernatural, Jensen Ackles, finale, Jared Padalecki

Naturally, the new trailer features a look at the show's latest world-ending event, as well as Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as young hunters on the verge of discovering just how treacherous the world of the supernatural can and will be. After being given a glimpse of Jack's plan to kill God, the footage shifts to an emotional Dean Winchester, who declares that "it's time" to end their battle against the forces of evil once and for all. For fans of the series, these final episodes are bound to pack an emotional punch, especially after having waited through a global pandemic to witness them.

SUPERNATURAL is currently filming its series finale in Vancouver, after a delay due to COVID-19. Meanwhile, the show is scheduled to return with new episodes beginning on October 8th. Will you be there when SUPERNATURAL comes to its epic conclusion?
