Samuel Goldwyn Films is planning an early 2020 release for director Ray Xue's feature directorial debut EXTRACURRICULAR in North America, and in anticipation of the film's release a trailer has arrived online.

Scripted by Matthew Abrams and Padgett Arango, EXTRACURRICULAR is a slasher with an extra disturbing twist: the random murders in the story are being committed by a group of thrill killing teenagers.

Miriam, Derek, Ian, and Jenny are overachieving high school students doing everything by the book. Straight A's, sports, yearbook, band, and – when coursework allows – planning and executing elaborate murders.

Keenan Tracey, Spencer Macpherson, Brittany Teo, and Brittany Raymond star as the killers, with Luke Goss playing the lawman who happens to be the father of two of them.

The trailer can be seen below, and the movie looks interesting and troubling to me. It seems sort of like a version of THE STRANGERS where we see things from the perspective of the strangers.

I look forward to finding out exactly when EXTRACURRICULAR is going to be available to watch.
