Designing film posters can often be a nasty bit of business. Create the perfect poster and your efforts are celebrated across the net. Churn out an uninspired mess that isn't worth being used as toilet paper and boy oh boy, the internet will eat you alive. It's to be understood that some films live and die by their promotional materials, so having a killer poster hanging in the lobby of your local cinema often goes a long way towards helping your associated project clean up at the box office. It's with all of this in mind that we bring you this next bit of news.

Daniel Craig today announced that he has a mission for talented James Bond fans, and that directive is to help design posters for the next Bond film, NO TIME TO DIE.

Here's the score via today's official press release detailing the Bond poster initiative:

EON Productions, Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (MGM), Universal Pictures International and United Artists Releasing have launched a global initiative challenging the most creative 007 fans to produce original James Bond poster artwork, ahead of the April 2020 release of No Time To Die.

Judges, from the marketing teams of MGM, Universal Pictures International and United Artists Releasing, are looking for artwork that is ‘unique, eye-catching and undeniably Bond’. Inspired by the Daniel Craig Bond films, the work must celebrate the design legacy of the franchise and will be judged on creativity (30%), originality (30%) and overall understanding of the theme (40%).

Selected creators will receive prize money and feedback on their submission from a local creative agency, as well as career advice to encourage the next generation of artists and creatives into the industry.

Participants must submit their entries by 6pm on 16th January 2020, with the selected creators announced early March next year. Further information can be found online at 007.talenthouse.com

In NO TIME TO DIE, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Directing James Bond's next big screen blockbuster is Cary Joji Fukunaga (MANIAC, BEASTS OF NO NATION) from a script he co-wrote with Neal Purvis & Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the NO TIME TO DIE cast includes Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, with Christoph Waltz and Ralph Fiennes as "M." The film also stars Rory Kinnear, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, and Billy Magnussen.

Do you have the skills to design a poster for NO TIME TO DIE? If you've got ideas, now's your chance to submit your efforts to a major studio. Hell, if your poster is good enough, and is selected by the powers that be, your victory could lead to bigger and better things. So get crackin', and best of luck to you all.
