Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig quickly "cancelled" their secret Lifetime movie after news of it leaked online, but (surprise, surprise) it's been confirmed that A DEADLY ADOPTION is set to debut on the network on Saturday, June 20. Lifetime announced its air date with a giant Billboard on Hollywood Boulevard, although the poster incorrectly says it will premiere on Sunday.

Rachel Lee Goldenberg (Escape From Polygamy, Love at the Christmas Table) directed the two-hour Lifetime movie parody from a script by The Spoils of Babylon scribe Andrew Steele, and Ferrell and Wiig star as "a successful couple who house and care for a pregnant woman (played by 90210 alum Jessica Lowndes) in the hopes of adopting her unborn child — then things quickly go awry." The film is described as a "campy, fun, contemporary wink at the genre," and it will help mark the 25th anniversary of the network's television movie projects. Will Ferrell is currently filming for ZOOLANDER 2, and Kristen Wiig can be seen next on the big screen in Jared Hess' MASTERMINDS, which will be in theaters on August 19, 2015.
