Seven years ago, it was announced that Lost / CHILD'S PLAY 3 director Jack Bender would be taking the helm of a movie titled DEVOLUTION, scripted by David Leslie Johnson (ORPHAN, THE CONJURING 2) and based on an idea by World War Z author Max Brooks. That project never made it into production, but Brooks is finally bringing his idea to the world.
On May 12, 2020, Del Rey will be published Brooks' new novel DEVOLUTION: A FIRST HAND ACCOUNT OF THE RAINIER SASQUATCH MASSACRE… Quite a long title, but worth it since it promises a "sasquatch massacre". Who doesn't want to hear about an event like that?

That sounds pretty cool to me. And now that the novel is being published, maybe a movie version will finally get made… Hopefully one that's more true to the source material than the WORLD WAR Z movie was.
