This morning, Walt Disney Animation Studios director Rich Moore (ZOOTOPIA, WRECK-IT RALPH) and writer Phil Johnston (ZOOTOPIA, WRECK-IT RALPH) took to Facebook live to announce that WRECK-IT RALPH 2 is in the works! They had John C. Reilly on-hand to punch through a massive brick wall (okay, maybe it wasn't actually brick), and they announced that the release date would be March 9, 2018. Reilly also gave a hint at the plot of film stating that "Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the internet." No other story or cast details were announced at that time.

WRECK-IT RALPH was a decent send-up of video games and their characters, so with Ralph leaving the arcade to explore the internet, I imagine that filmmakers Moore and Johnston will have a wealth of material on their hands. You can kind of get an idea of the material they'll be lampooning with the promotional picture below. The real question is, is "LubHub" supposed to be "GrubHub", "StubHub", or another popular Hub that people go to for their . . . material.
