There will definitely be a ton of cameos in THE MUPPETS. Don’t you wish you were in the movie surrounded by your felt childhood buddies? I do.
One actor will not be making an appearance– Steve Carell. Originally he was set to do a funny scene with Pepe the King Prawn, but due to scheduling this was not possible. The scene was one that had to be tweaked before they decided to film it. A sad Carell said this, “I’m not in the Muppets film. It was discussed.. I talked to them… but it didn’t work out, I wasn’t able to do it.”
In the scene, Carell would play himself and it would be, “set at Mc Chow’s restaurant, that had himself and several other celebrities (including Jack Black, who is in the film – suggesting the scene might still exist) being presented with a lovely serving of…talking, moving Pepe.”
It sucks that we won’t get to see Carell but I’m still excited to see the movie.
