Beyonce a superhero?

about who will play WW? Why arent you complaining about how bad of a story WW really is and that it would tank huge at the box office? Or the fact that not one A-List director would touch this with a 10 foot pole. Unless she is naked there will be no hope for this movie.

I definitely like the idea of Monica Belluci playing Wonder Woman, Beckinsale and and Lucy Lawless would be great choices as well.

If they go with a woman of color for the role, then they should choose Priyanka Chopra from India. She can act, can do action, look Wonder Woman-ish. Of course it would be mucho hard to sell Wonder Woman to the domestic market with Priyanka as the lead since prolly 5 people in US know of her, but it'd be a no-brainer for the International in terms of Asia and parts of Europe.

No offense to Beyonce because I do like two of her songs, but I wouldn't pay see Wonder Woman if it starred her. There's really no evidence that she can carry a film. I did like her in Austin Powers and her signing in Dreamgirls. But, unless Wonder Woman is going to sing for some crazy reason, I don't see it. And even then, just do dubbing for a great actress ala My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn. If they do cast her, they should give her the best acting coach in the world and a good luck charm. Maybe she'll surprise us all one day with her acting, but this news doesn't make me wanna jump thru hoops to see the movie.

If Lucy Lawless was back in her Xena days, she'd be a cool choice. Well, she'd be a solid choice now, though it'd be a hard sell beyond the comic-scifi-fantasy convention crowd. It's hard to pick someone for this role...maybe Kate Beckinsale? Rachel Weisz? Anne Hathaway? They all can act and do some action. Hey, if they really want to get a super beautiful woman behind the role, then they should choose Monica Bellucci. She can act when the role is demanding (which means it's been in French or Italian), plus, you know every straight guy alive will pay to see her wear that Wonder Woman outfit and kick b*tt.

Beyonce is a bad a choice because she hasn't proven herself as an actress. And yes, I think it is a bad choice because the actor should at least somewhat resemble the character already embedded in peoples minds. Its not a race thing, I'd be equally pissed to learn that matt damon was playing war machine instead of Cheadle, b/c it doesn't fit the character, despite him being a great actor.

Please. I'm sorry, but Wonder Woman is neither black nor white (she should be of Mediterranean background). Besides, do the words "Wild Wild West" mean anything to anyone here?! A terrible movie that still makes me cringe every time I see it on the tube (thankfully late at night) being an old Robert Conrad fan.

No matter what happens Wonder Woman will make a bad film. Her stories of the years have always been weak, she is a relic of a long gone age of comics and her villains are some of the worst in comics. Let it die make Megan Gale play her as a background character in something else and move on.

As for Beyonce playing the part, someone needs to tell her to get over herself. She is no actor and she could only do for Wonder Woman what Halley Berry did for Catwoman. And least we forget that Berry has an Oscar? Lets just can this one next to JLA and get going on the Green Lantern, his is the only character that can become a film people would want to watch. Maybe even Flash is they made him kid friendly. But enough with Wonder Woman!
