BLOODSPORT 2 w/ Van Damme?!

If you’re thinking “Hold up, there was a BLOODSPORT 2!” then you’d better tell that to Mr. Van Damme, because he hasn’t heard about it. In an interview with totalfilm.com, Jean-Claude says he is ready to go ahead with a sequel to his 1988 hit – and his plans are pretty f*ckin’ dark!

“…I want to do it now in a very mature way, where the guy from Bloodsport is a complete bum, maybe abusing his son.” Wow okay, guess I’d watch that. Just as long as the “abuse” isn’t relegated to scissor kicks and knees-to-the-face. That would be kinda weird.

Naturally, the studio is a little dubious. Van Damme goes on to say: “They told me, ‘No, no, no! You cannot make a movie in America where a father is abusing his son physically! It’s wrong. And you cannot be a guy on drugs doing karate and shit like that.’ I said, ’Why? Why? Tell me why.’

Tell me why as well, because I’m ready to just title this movie GUY ON DRUGS DOING KARATE AND SHIT LIKE THAT and shoot it to the top of my “must see ” list…

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS trailer!

At long last, it’s here. A look at Tarantino’s WWII epic, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS. And I don’t mean at long last as in, “this movie has been in production forever”. On the contrary, Tarantino began shooting less than a year ago – this mutha is being rushed full-steam ahead. But he has been talking about it for years and years, so it’s good to see it finally come to fruition. Plus it does indeed seem pretty badass – hell even Eli Roth looks cool in it! Give the image below a click to see Tarantino’s “Basterds” in action!

“And I want my scalps!”

New CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE stills

A glowering, thoroughly pissed-off Jason Statham, that’s what this Round-Up needs! Statham’s Chev Chelios is obviously not too happy about dying – and even less happy about having a new heart that requires him to electrocute himself every few minutes. Guess I’d be peeved too. At least he has Amy Smart around to cheer him up…

CRANK 2 – opening April 17th – is rated R for “frenetic strong bloody violence throughout, crude and graphic sexual content, nudity, and pervasive language” Um, yes, I believe that is what I’m talkin’ about!
