After Bruce and Arnie are no goes Sly steps into The Tomb, search for new director is on

A film that has been in limbo for a while called THE TOMB might see the light of day, as one of our favourite dudes Sylvester Stallone has jumped on board.

The project once had Bruce Willis attached to star, Arnold Schwarzenegger considered and Antoine Fuqua to direct. Seems kind of funny that those three actors have been associated with the film, and Fuqua previous worked with Willis on TEARS OF THE SUN.

Currently the project has no production start date but producers are seeking out a new director. Jason Keller is doing a script rewrite, from the Miles Chapman penned screenplay. Summit and Emmett/Furla Films are co-financing, with Summit Intl having for the foreign rights.

The story follows Ray Breslin, the world’s foremost authority on structural security — specifically prisons. His skills are put to the test when he is framed and put in a high-security prison of his own design and must find the person who put him there.

I can see Stallone in the role, however Willis would have been good as well. This will likely still be a bit of a ways off as Stallone is filming THE EXPENDABLES 2, and also has BULLET TO THE HEAD (with the sexy Sarah Shahi below) coming up.
