Barricade This

We got a heads up from producer Ted Geoghegan earlier this week regarding a little splatterfest that he wrote, being directed by Timo Rose. The flick’s called BARRICADE, and according to Geoghegan it’s “looking to be one of the goriest b-movies seen in the US in a very long time”, in to which I reply, it’s about effin’ time!


Starring Joe Zaso and Raine Brown, BARRICADE goes a little something like this:


Nina is visiting her longtime friend Michael and his pal David in Germany for a much needed vacation. The trio decides that, to get their mind off their day-to-day lives, a camping trip into the nearby Black Forest will do them all well.



Little do they know, a clan of bloodthirsty ghouls also calls this area of the woods their home – and they don’t take kindly to strangers impeding on their land!



As the bodies begin piling up, the friends’ innocent vacation becomes a horrific battle for survival. The cannibalistic monsters know the forest better than anyone… and their victims are in for the fight of their lives.

Mental note: if camping in a forest called THE BLACK FOREST is ever an option- shoot it down, and go with something else! The flick sounds awesome enough, and after checking out it’s MySpace page, I can honestly say that it looks pretty frickin’ gorey! Seriously, check out those pics!


If extreme over-the-top gore filled violence is your thing, and who doesn’t love extra use of the red stuff, then I’m guessing BARRICADE will have you foaming at the mouth. Checking out the trailer, I don’t think it’ll dissapoint. No release date is set yet, and no word on who’ll distribute, but as soon as we find out… so will you!
