As every single one of us know well and good by this point, Blumhouse has an all-new (direct) sequel to John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN on the way co-written by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride and directed by Green. We've heard word that the trailer for the film will be dropping soon and today we have confirmation on just when we'll be able to check it out!

Blumhouse namesake and head producer Jason Blum took to Twitter today to let us all know that the trailer for HALLOWEEN (2018) will be landing online this Friday! You can check out Blum's rather strange series of tweets below which altogether read:

Guess what? The Halloween trailer is dropping Friday. Boom.

Of course, I'm chomping a the bit to check out this first-look trailer for what I consider to be THE most anticipated horror release this year. I've heard a lot about the trailer since it premiered at CinemaCon earlier this year, and I can only hope the powers that be have added even more surprises since then.

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to the role of

Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Also in the cast are Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter Karen; Andi Matichak as Karen's daughter Allyson; Miles Robbins, Virginia Gardner, Dylan Arnold, and Drew Scheid as Allyson's Haddonfield High classmates; Will Patton and Rob Niter as police officers; Rhian Rees as a character named Dana; and Diva Tyler as a caretaker, with stuntman James Jude Courtney and original Michael Myers performer Nick Castle both wearing the mask of the iconic slasher.

John Carpenter served as an executive producer on the film and is composing the score. The new HALLOWEEN arrives in theatres on October 19th.
