Brad Dourif has returned to deliver another vocal performance as the iconic killer doll Chucky for CULT OF CHUCKY, which is scheduled to be released this Halloween. But we don't have to wait until October to see (or hear) Dourif bring to life a maniacal character who enjoys tormenting people. Thanks to Wild Eye Releasing, we can catch Dourif doing that right now on North American Cable and Digital HD in THE CONTROL GROUP.

Dourif plays a mad scientist in the film, which was directed by Peter Hurd and has the following synopsis:

Five college students wake up in an abandoned, locked-down insane asylum – with no idea how they got there and no means of escape. They discover that they are the subjects of secret experiments, but these tests have awakened something that cannot be explained by science. The group must now fight to escape both the human and supernatural threats if they are to survive and break out of their prison.

The trailer can be seen below, and while it's not the most polished looking movie, it does look like it reaches some fun levels of insanity. The mixture of Dourif and bloodshed tends to be an entertaining one.

Speaking of Chucky, the doll featured in THE CONTROL GROUP's key art does look kind of familiar…

THE CONTROL GROUP is currently available for viewing through various cable and digital platforms, including iTunes, Dish Network, Vudu, Xbox, Google Play, and YouTube. A DVD release will follow in May.
