Bride of Venom will be featured in new R-rated Venom movie with Tom Hardy

The last word we brought you guys on the new R-rated VENOM flick starring Tom Hardy was that serial killer villain CARNAGE was going to be joining the party – in one form or another. And if that wasn't exciting enough news, today we have word that the new film will also sport The Bride of Venom herself, Ann Weying!

Don't worry if you're not overly familiar with the name and/or the backstory. I wasn't either. And I don't pretend to know much if anything about comic books, so that should tell you how cool the film is sounding to a dude who just digs cool movies.

Anyhow, let's do a quick rundown on Bride of Venom for all of those peeps, like me, that don't know Weying from Fortunato (had to Google that reference). 

Ann Weying is a lawyer and Eddie Brock aka Venom's ex-wife. She became a temporary host for the symbiote at one point after being shot by some dude named Sin-Eater. Her life was, however, saved by the symbiote, but it set off a series of events that lead to her depression and suicide.

Sony is said to be looking for actresses in the range of 25-32 for the role, so of course, this begs the question, who would you like to see cast as Bride of Venom? No Margot Robbie. Pick someone else. I say Jane Levy. But then again, I'd literally pick her for every role. Even the shark in JAWS.
