Check out two behind-the-scenes stills from the Evil Dead remake

Everyone’s super stoked for the EVIL DEAD remake to hit theaters. From hardcore horror fans to the more casual types, I’ve heard nothing but praise and high anticipation. This, of course, caused some excitement of my own when happening across the pair of behind-the-scenes stills below.

The pics are pretty no frills stuff, but should get you in the mood for some soul swallowing and subsequent dismemberment. Fede Alvarez directs a bloody Jane Levy, who seems to be having fun on set despite the fact that I’m pretty sure they’re shooting the infamous tree assault scene. Second, we have Lou Taylor Pucci screwing around with the Book of the Dead, which is always a good time.

EVIL DEAD possesses theaters April 12th. It stars Levy, Pucci, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore. Fede Alvarez directs with the original EVIL DEAD trilogy trio, Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell, producing.
